Hepatitis Outreach 2017

GIRH as a proactive and interventionist humanitarian organization carried out Rural Health Outreach in Karon Majigi Village along airport road, Abuja to marked World Hepatitis Day July 28, 2017. The outreach was done to compliment the effort of World Health Organization (WHO) and other stakeholders towards eradicating the menace of hepatitis.
Door to door advocacy campaign was launched alongside side engagement with community and opinion leaders. Free Screening and Counseling was the hallmark of our outreach.
The overall goal is to reach out to underserved and neglected communities particularly the rural dwellers with the message of hope, to create awareness, set up a locally suited rapid response mechanism and build sustainable local partnership...in line with the theme of this year's World Hepatitis Day...KNOW HEPATITIS, ACT NOW!
Heroes of this intervention are the many volunteers who make out time to be with us throughout this advocacy and campaign despite their individuals tight schedules. We are GRATEFUL beyond measures.
We shall publish our findings backed by data we gathered in the course of this intervention in support of Open Access to Research.
Together, we can achieve a WORLD without HEPATITIS.
